LOKOJA –The Management of Confluence University of Science and Technology has expelled four students and rusticated another over offences ranging from alleged same-sex conduct to violence and cyber-related misconduct.

The disciplinary actions were approved by the Senate of the university during its 30th Regular Meeting held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, according to separate letters issued to the affected students by the Deputy Registrar, Academic Affairs, Mr. Eli Usman Gbadafu.

Among those expelled were two 200-level female students identified as Ezekiel Precious Omeneke of the Department of Economics and Aku Joy Chinyere of the Department of Accounting.

The university said both students were sanctioned over alleged involvement in lesbianism.

Two other students were also expelled over separate misconduct cases.

Musa Abdulhakeem Onimisi, a 200-level student of Petroleum and Gas Engineering, was expelled over alleged “physical assault and stabbing of a student,” while Dominion Kolade A. of the Department of Physiotherapy was sanctioned for “cloning of pictures of two female students.”

Another student, Agbakaru Kosikochukwu of the Department of Radiography, was rusticated for one academic session over involvement in fighting and physical assault, the university disclosed.

Confirming the development, the institution said the disciplinary measures “take immediate effect,” stressing that the decisions followed the recommendations of the Students’ Disciplinary Committee.

Vice-Chancellor of the university, Abdulrahman Asipita Salawu, commended the committee for what he described as “a thorough and diligent job” in handling the cases.

According to the Vice-Chancellor, the institution “remains committed to training students in both character and learning,” adding that the management “will not compromise on discipline and adherence to the institution’s rules and regulations.”
